In an increasingly dynamic industrial environment, the toy sector in the Valencian Community faces the urgent need to shorten development times, adapt to shorter product life cycles, and respond more agilely to consumer demands. As the market progresses, the application of agile methodologies emerges as a key solution to address these challenges, promoting the early collaboration with users and integrating digital tools for quick decision-making.
The AGILE-CV project focuses on developing an innovative product design methodology based on agile processes and participatory approaches, specifically tailored to the toy sector’s characteristics. The goal is to provide companies in the Valencian Community with tools to accelerate product creation, improve design efficiency, and increase market success rates.
The main challenge facing the toy sector is the need to reduce development times and improve integration of user research in the early design stages. In this context, AGILE-CV proposes the creation of an agile innovation model that allows companies to adopt agile methodologies without the need for costly structural transformations, driving the adoption of these practices through intuitive digital platforms. The implementation of these methodologies, focused on user-product interaction, becomes a key element for improving sector competitiveness, moving away from traditional price-based approaches.
Through its collaborative and multidisciplinary approach, the project will enable knowledge transfer to companies by creating a web platform that offers a visual, accessible, and tailored guide to the needs of the involved sectors. This resource will facilitate the adoption of agile practices in product development, promoting open innovation and citizen science.
The AGILE-CV project has the potential to transform the toy sector, providing practical solutions that enhance companies’ competitiveness and enable them to create products better suited to end-users’ expectations. The project is supported by AIJU and IBV, who apply their expertise in the development of children’s and healthcare products, respectively, to ensure the successful implementation of this methodology in the key sectors of the Valencian Community. The synergy between both centers will allow the sharing of best practices, experiences, and tools, enriching the innovation process and facilitating the creation of an agile development model that can be replicated in both sectors.
AGILE-CV is a step towards a more agile, user-centered innovation, fostering a more sustainable and competitive economy, positioning companies from the Valencian Community at the forefront of innovative product design.
