The AGILE-CV project aims to transform the product development process in the toy industry of the Comunitat Valenciana through the integration of agile and participatory methodologies. The initiative seeks to improve the efficiency and adaptability of companies in the sector, enabling faster, user-centered design while incorporating approaches such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup. This project responds to the growing need for continuous innovation in a dynamic market, where user collaboration and early product validation become key. Through a multidisciplinary methodology, AGILE-CV aims to generate tools and resources that help companies accelerate product development and improve competitiveness in the global market.

The project benefits from the collaboration of AIJU and IBV, who apply their expertise in the development of children’s and healthcare products, respectively, to ensure the successful implementation of this methodology in the key sectors of the Valencian Community. Additionally, it involves the participation of leading partner companies such as Famosa, Lúdilo, and Paola Reina, as well as prominent companies from the healthcare sector in the region.

General Objective

The general objective of the AGILE-CV project is to transform the product development process in the toy industry of the Comunitat Valenciana by implementing agile and participatory methodologies. The project aims to improve efficiency, adaptability, and product development speed, integrating approaches such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup. Through the creation of design resources and digital tools, AGILE-CV will enable sector companies to optimize their innovation process, accelerating product validation and fostering user collaboration to meet market demands.

Specific Objectives
  • O1: Define a specific methodology for the development of innovative products and services based on agile methodologies, including continuous and collaborative learning.
  • O2: Adapt participatory tools and methodologies (such as Design Thinking, Lean, or Design Sprint) for their application in an agile product and service development process, promoting collaboration with end users (consumers) and intermediates (professionals or families) with the design and development team.
  • O3: Define key aspects for identifying the techniques and tools to be used in the development of products based on agile methodologies, as well as the systematization of the process according to the product type and toy market characteristics.
Expected results
  • R1: Agile methodology process for the development of children’s products, combining agile approaches with advanced user research techniques.
  • R2: Web platform for the agile innovation model for the development of children’s products, providing access to agile design tools and resources.
  • R3: Creation of a report on success cases and best industry practices in adopting agile methodologies for the development of children’s products.
