Project summary: The general aim of the project is the research and development of a prototype equipment for urban parks, integrated into an ICT platform for Smart Cities.

Description: SMART PARC is the research and development of a prototype equipment for urban parks, integrated into an ICT platform for Smart Cities. The prototype will address the use of public space by children. Starting from users’ habits, new functionalities are planned based on the generation and exploitation of digital contents that address the three critical dimensions of an Smart City: habitability, sustainability and governance.

The first work package will be to update the state of the art on “Smart Cities” and children’s playgrounds Next, user requirements will be analysed. All the information collected and created to that time will be the basis for the generation of a conceptual design proposal, which will be validated by end users both functionally and emotionally.
