Integrated STEM Education with an Interactive Digital Library for Curious Kids – CURIKIDS

The CURIKIDS project was born as an initiative designed to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to promote adaptation to the digital age and improve education.

CURIKIDS strives to foster collaboration, creativity and innovative learning environments in the STEM field, contributing to the understanding of STEM concepts and success in various disciplines through the:

– Creation of inclusive digital storytelling: stories will be developed in collaboration with six countries, taking into account cultural aspects and under-represented groups,
– Promoting collaboration and creativity in STEM,
– And the integration of STEM content and literacy.

The aim of the project is to create digitised educational stories that are pedagogically entertaining, informative and linguistically rich for children, and that reinforce their interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through the use of multilingual literacy activities.

The inclusion of digital resources that combine STEM and literacy aims to develop innovative pedagogical assessment methods and stimulate students’ curiosity in STEM subjects. To this end, since the project started last January, different tasks have been carried out to transfer STEM sciences through digital tools.
