The overall objective for iBUS is to develop and demonstrate a innovative business model, based in the current supply chain, that boost the sells of the manufacturers of traditional toys of the European Union (EU) by using technologies Internet based, focusing in safe and high quality personalised products.

Within this iBUS model the consumers (from home or at the retailer) become designers, customise and make on line in the iBUS cloud the order of their own products, what allows the interaction and collaboration among suppliers, manufacturers, etc. Those, that in parallel know their demand likes , will be supported by the services embedded within the platform, that include augmented reality assistants, tools for the verification of  the design safety according to the EU standards, the analysis of environmental food print and the creation of pieces by 3D printing.

AIJU, as European referee technological  centre in toys and additive manufacturing technologies, participates in all the tasks of the project, involving their specialists staff in toys safety, environment, pedagogy, market and product, design, Information technology, materials and additive manufacturing, 3D printing manufacturing processes.

The consumer products’ personalisation is a growing trend jointly to the own users involvement in the process of new products development. With this project  it is intended to ease the enterprises of our industrial world a better innovation and competitive position. With this aim, AIJU offers their associates and any organisation of the supply chain the possibility of being part of the platform once it is established. Do not hesitate to tell us if thus.

The project is coordinated by the Limerick University (Ireland) and the participation of enterprises and centres from Germany, France, U.K. and Spain. To highlight the presence of two Spanish toy enterprises,  JUGUETTOS CENTRAL DE COMPRAS & FABRICA DE JUGUETES, that will be key in the determination of the  iBus platform requirements and the sell and manufacturing of personalised toys through this platform.
