“With the support and funding of the Institute of Small and Medium Sized Companies of the Region of Valencia (IMPIVA), AIJU has undertaken an R&D project in the sphere of children’s products entitled, “Risk assessment in non-standardised products for children’s use – CHILDRISK”. Undertaking this project enabled developing a methodology for safety assessment of certain children’s products that are very common in the market for which there are no published European safety standards including bathtubs, fruit teethers, booster seats and bibs. After preparation of specific procedures per product type, the research team configured a universal hazards matrix that enabled foundation of the bases of the universal risk assessment methodology in children’s products, developed in the framework of this project.”
