“This project aims to develop new formulations of plastic materials with biodegradable properties for manufacturing items of small and large size by rotational moulding. The idea is that users of this technology can have alternatives to traditional plastics for manufacturing new products or can replace part of the plastic material by other materials with more environmentally friendly properties. In order to facilitate the process, possibilities of transforming all the materials by rotational moulding will be studied so that companies will not have to change their production lines. It is intended to offer the rotational moulding industry a range of suitable materials they can use for design and manufacture of hollow plastic items, of small or large format, innovative and differentiating products, with biodegradable properties that are not currently available on the market. This will enable them to increase their competitiveness, diversity their production and open themselves up to new markets.”
