AIJU, in collaboration with the IT Technology Institute (ITI), is developing a project on the incorporation of biometric techniques in a customised and interactive toy prototype that is able to perform facial and voice recognition of users. The prototype was conceived as a robot for children’s education classrooms where the children will learn while they play.

The robot will be able to recognise the voice and face of each user and to give a personalised response, listening to children’s voices, talking to respond or ask, see to identify or verify who is in front of it and to show information graphically.

This project is coordinated by AIJU, subsidised by IMPIVA and cofunded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union.
