“This project aims to investigate a new manufacturing system that enables the customisation of articles for children’s use, quickly and effectively directed mainly at children with motor disabilities. The system of reproduction to be developed will be based on new digitalisation, design and rapid manufacturing technologies. After the project, it is hoped to have an implemented system that, in the service of SMEs, would enable them to have an efficient and economic technology with which to develop very short or unique production runs that would be suitable for meeting the needs of their potential customers (children with disabilities) as well as those of the company itself. In the social sphere, this revolutionary improvement in the whole manufacturing process would improve the quality of life of many disabled children who require personalised solutions to be able to carry out their daily lives.”
