“The aim of this project, funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, within the Promotion of Technical Research programme, is to investigate the components, materials and designs for developing a new line of electrolysers of 1 to 5 kW power that will enable obtaining hydrogen from the electrolysis of water using alkaline solutions. It operates at a pressure of 15 bar, sufficient to directly store the hydrogen generated in metal hydrides without an intermediate compression state. This new line of electrolysers to be developed must operate using photovoltaic solar energy and alternatively through electrical connection to the mains, with suitable transformer and rectifier.”
