“The GeronTec project aims to set a base for the development of games with high therapeutic and preventative value that also meet the requirements of specific usability of the elderly population and that, based on the most advanced Information and Communication Technologies -ICTs – enable the target group (people with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia) to enjoy new leisure activities while they improve the cognitive, functional and social skills. Creation of virtual boards is proposed as the technology platform with various boxes containing different types of game with different pre-set modes of use: individual game and group game.”
